Instructions

  • 0Rinse your quinoa under cold water for a few seconds to remove any bitterness.
  • 1Combine quinoa, water and salt in a medium saucepan.
  • 2Bring the water to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover and simmer until quinoa is tender and the water has been absorbed, around 15 minutes.
  • 3Add almond milk and maple syrup. Continue to simmer, stirring occasionally, until most of the milk has been absorbed, around 10 minutes.
  • 4Serve your quinoa porridge in a bowl, topped with blueberries, sliced almonds and a sprinkle of cinnamon.

Tipps

Using White Quinoa

White quinoa is used in this recipe as it's less bitter and has a milder flavor than other types, making it perfect for a sweet porridge.

Sweetness Preference

You can adjust the sweetness of your porridge according to preference. Add more or less maple syrup as desired.

Storage Instructions

If you have leftovers, store in an airtight container in the fridge. It will keep for up to 2 days. Reheat in the microwave and add a splash of almond milk to loosen it up if needed.
